    One of the unique features about this black box camera is the super long life battery - which can sit in standby motion detection mode for up to 6 months on a single charge! When it detects motion, it will start recording to a hidden micro SD memory card for later viewing.

    The camera also features invisible "no glow" IR night vision sensors which allow the camera to see what's going on even in total darkness, making this nanny cam perfect for 24/7 operation, since it can see what is happening even when your own eyes cannot.

    The black box camera is simple to use - just charge the battery (or leave it plugged into AC power if you wish), insert a memory card (up to 64GB) and turn the power switch on - it's just that easy!

    When you're ready to watch your recorded videos, just remove the memory card and insert it into your PC or Mac computer for playback. We recommend using VLC Media Player, a free universal media player, for playback.

    Q. How easy is it to use this hidden camera?
    We've designed the black box camera to be easy to use - there is no WiFi set up needed, just insert a memory card, charge the battery (or plug into AC power), and turn the camera on.
     
    Q. How is the black box camera powered?
    The black box camera can be either battery or AC powered, depending on your particular needs. Battery power is great for portable operation, while AC power is often useful for long term use.
     
    Q. Does this camera have or need WiFi?
    This is a non-WiFi camera, so it does not use WiFi to operate. It simply records video to a micro SD memory card inside the device.
     
    Q. How do I view the videos from my camera?
    When you're ready to view your videos, you can either connect the camera directly to your computer using the included cable, or you can remove the memory card and insert it into a card reader and then click on the files to play. 
     
    Q. How does auto overwrite/loop recording mode work?
    If you enable it, the auto-overwrite function sets the camera to automatically record over the oldest video files if the memory card fills up so you don't miss anything.
     
    Q. Where is the ideal place to use this camera?
    Because the camera looks like just a normal electronics box that everyone has plenty of, you can put the camera right in plain sight - like on a shelf or TV stand. Or you can hide it somewhere as well depending on your surveillance needs.
     
    Q. Can I live view this camera on my smartphone?
    This is not a live streaming hidden camera, so it does not stream to your smartphone. If you do need live view, we have a WiFi black box camera available here.
     
    Q. Is this hidden camera Mac compatible?
    Yes all the videos on this camera can be played back on both PC and Mac computers. We recommend VLC Media Player for best playback performance, available for free download at www.videolan.org/vlc.
     
    Q. Does the video have a time and date stamp on it?
    Yes video files will have the time/date stamp on them so you know when they were recorded. You can turn the time/date stamp off if you don't need it.
