    The smoke detector camera features a high capacity rechargeable battery, which can get up to 6 months of battery life on a single charge. Since it has no wires to worry about, the placement options are almost unlimited.

    Setting up this camera is quick and easy on your smartphone or tablet, and once you have it connected to your home's WiFi network you'll be able to watch your live stream from anywhere in the world. The "no glow" night vision sensors even let you see what's happening even when the lights are out.

    In addition to live streaming, you can also record motion activated video to a hidden micro SD memory card, so can have a copy of what your camera sees. You can even set up motion detection alerts, and get notified whenever your camera detects movement nearby - perfect for both home and business security monitoring.

    No it does not. This is a "dummy" smoke detector that works a hidden camera only. 
     
    Q. How easy is it to set up this WiFi streaming nanny cam?
    We've designed the WiFi smoke detector camera to be easy to both set up and operate. Just download the live streaming app, charge the camera's battery, and use the app to connect the camera to your WiFi network in your home. The setup process generally takes about 5-10 minutes.
     
    Q. How is the smoke detector camera powered?
    The camera is powered by a high capacity internal rechargeable battery. The battery can get up to 6 months of battery life in standby mode, and up to 20 hours of continuous use. So for example, if you watched the camera live feed for about 10 minutes per day, the battery would last about 120 days. 
     
    Q. Are there any costs or fees to view my live streaming video?
    There are never any fees or costs to view, stream, or record video from this or any of our WiFi hidden cameras. All you need is your existing WiFi connection in your home.
     
    Q. How do I watch my live streaming video?
    Use our free live streaming app and you can view your live stream from anywhere in the world. You can also share your camera ID and login with someone you trust (like a spouse or a partner) and they can monitor the camera on their smartphone too.
     
    Q. How do push notification/activity alerts work?
    Activity alerts notify you instantly via push notification if your camera detects activity or movement nearby, like someone walking in front of the camera.
     
    Q. How do I record my video?
    To record video, simply insert a micro SD card up to 128GB in capacity, and the camera will record motion activated video so you can always have a copy of what your camera sees, even if you didn't happen to see it live.
     
    Q. Do I need any special WiFi network or router for this camera?
    A 2.4Ghz signal is needed for all WiFi hidden cameras to operate. They do not connect to 5GHz networks. Most routers broadcast in both signals, so be sure to connect to the 2.4Ghz one.
     
    Q. Can I live stream to a PC or Macintosh desktop computer or laptop?
    WiFi hidden cameras like this one stream to the smartphone/tablet app only, they do not stream to desktop or laptop computers at this time.

      This looks exactly like a smoke detector, and no one will think it's anything else. Can be mounted multiple positions, and battery life lasts forever!

      Shipiment arrived pretty quickly, camera was a little confusing to set up (admittedly I'm not very tech savvy), but quality of live stream was good once we got it going.
