    Setting up this camera is simple - just download the app to your phone, plug the camera into AC power (or use battery power), and you'll be watching your camera feed in just 5-10 minutes. Because clocks are so common, you can place it almost anywhere without arising suspicion, making it perfect for both home and office security.

    In addition to live streaming, you can also set the camera to record video to a hidden micro SD card, since chances are you won't always be able to watch your camera feed live. This way, you'll be able to record motion activated video, and watch the playback at your convenience.

    The camera also has built in "no glow" IR night vision sensors, so you can see what's going on no matter the time of day or night - ideal for around the clock surveillance.

    The HC339w has two power supply options you can choose from. The device has an internal rechargeable battery which is good for short term use (up to about 4 hours), or you can simply plug it into AC power with the included wall charger and charging cable, and use AC power for 24/7 operation and no battery concerns. Most pople use the device with AC power for long term surveillance situations.
     
    Q. Is there any additional cost or fee to stream my video?
    There are no fees or costs or anything for streaming, viewing, or recording video. All you need is your existing WiFi connection in your home or office or wherever the camera is physically located.
     
    Q. Does this camera include audio?
    Yes this camera is audio enabled.
     
    Q. What are motion alerts?
    Motion alerts are push notifications that can be enabled or disabled, which alert you whenever the camera detects motion or movement nearby. This is very useful for home or business security, because it lets you know when people are coming or going.
     
    Q. Can I record video from this camera?
    Yes you can insert a memory card into the card slot and record video from the camera. The HC339w accepts up to a 128GB memory card, and features motion detection recording which saves on memory card space.
     
    Q. Can I stream video to my desktop or laptop computer?
    Currently WiFi hidden cameras like this one stream to the smartphone/tablet app only, they do not stream to desktop or laptop computers.
     
    Q. How does the night vision sensors work? Do they glow red?
    The invisible IR night vision sensors are the 940nm "invisible" kind that do not emit any red glow when enabled, so the night vision hidden camera operation is totally covert.
     
    Q. Can multiple people watch the stream at once (such as my spouse or partner)?
    Yes you can share your camera ID and password that you create with someone you trust, like a spouse or partner, and they can download the app on their device and monitor the camera as well.
     
    Q. Do I need any special WiFi network or router for this camera?
    The HC339w hidden camera is compatible with most wireless WiFi networks. A 2.4GHz signal is needed, which most routers have. Some WiFi networks may have additional layers of security (such as public WiFi networks like a coffee shop or business) that may need additional steps to connect properly, so if you are unsure of the security requirements for your specific network make sure to contact your network administrator to ensure compatibility. Note: Currently 5GHz networks are not supported, so make sure you are connecting to a 2.4Ghz signal.
     
    Q. How can I watch my recorded video files on the memory card?
    To watch your recorded videos on the memory card, simply remove the card, and insert into your computer's card reader slot or a USB card reader, and double click on the files to play. We recommend VLC Media Player for best playback performance.
     
    Q. Can I record video to my smartphone?
    Yes in addition to recording to a memory card, you can set the camera to record to your smartphone as well, but only when the app is open and active. This can be useful for short term recording, such as if you see something happening and want to take a screenshot or quick video, but the recording will stop if the app is closed or minimized, so for long term recording we recommend recording to a memory card.
